Mirar al cielo

MIRAR AL CIELO

Desde el comienzo de la cuarentena, marzo 2020, recopilo cielos, cielos propios, cielos de amigos de otras ciudades del mundo. Todos miramos el cielo. ¿Qué es lo que tienen los cielos para decirnos? Empleando un sistema de redes neuronales con una arquitectura long short-term memory (LSTM) de red neuronal recurrente (RNN) y una red neuronal convolucional aplicada a visión móvil, el sistema de esta obra interpretará videos de cielos de diferentes partes del mundo generando un diálogo entre cielos y textos científicos y poéticos. Los cielos dicen sobre Teoría del color, mediciones, sobre la atmósfera, sobre astronomía, sobre exploraciones y viajes, sobre fenómenos meteorológicos, sobre ornitología, sobre geografía, sobre mirar el cielo, sobre el cielo mirado y sobre el cielo protector.

La versión del proyecto como videoinstalación se llama 52 tonos de azul y fue exhibida en Fundación Andreani, Ciudad de Buenos Aires, Argentina, 2021; Jax District, BienalSur 2021, Riyadh, Arabia Saudita y Videoformes, Clermont-Ferrand, Francia, 2022.

Existen versiones de la obra en castellano, inglés y francés.

LOOK UP THE SKY

Since the beginning of the quarantine, March 2020, I collect skies, my own skies, skies of friends from other cities in the world. We all look at the sky.
What does the sky have to tell us? Using a neural network system with a long short-term memory (LSTM) architecture of recurrent neural network (RNN) and a convolutional neural network applied to mobile vision, the system of this work will interpret videos of skies from different parts of the world, generating a dialogue between skies and scientific and poetic texts. The skies say about colour theory, perspective, about the atmosphere, about astronomy, about explorations and travels, about meteorological phenomena, about ornithology, about geography, about looking at the sky, about the sky being looked.

The video installation version of the project is called 52 shades of blue and was exhibited at Fundación Andreani, Buenos Aires, Argentina, 2021; Jax District, BienalSur 2021, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and Videoformes, Clermont-Ferrand, France, 2022.
